Hi all, I'm in the market for a 5/600 watt PSW Inverter, there's a loads of them on line.
Can anyone suggest a relatively low cost one, for very occasional use.

Although rated at 600W continuous it drove a toaster with a genuine 800w load without problems. Standing current was slightly high at around 1A but if you're simply connecting and using it then that's probably not going to be an issue. I wouldn't use the ciggy plug for loads of 60W or more rather connect directly to the battery instead but from what I can remember it did consume a slight current even when switched off (not unusual) so best to not leave it connected if you're laying up the van over winter.

I've taken the plunge and bought a
Lvyuan, I'm only using it for a fridge and TV very occasional.
Thanks again same price £60.00..
It's good to get someone else's first hand experience.

12v tv is best and will use less power, though some like mine required a up voltage buck converter as when volts dropped below 12.5 the picture went, so i built a up voltage unit into a small black casing with volt metter on it and set the unit to 13.5v which satys at thet untill the battery drops below 12v then shuts down.
As for a fridge i use a 500w smart inverter and it will run a small table top unit for 24 hrs on test rig 90ah, i have 2 batts in van and solar and the fridge has never died or run the batts down. :)
 
My TV is 230v through inverter. 25/30 watts depending on picture quality selected.
I already owned it so couldn't fathom extra cost, in fact went to Rutland water last night week and forgot remote couldn't tune it in, buttons on side would select anything but no ok button.
What does your 12v draw (watts)

Hmm, hopefully it'll work for you but compressor fridges pose a very high surge load for a fraction of a second when starting up. Ultimately it'll either work or not but if not then you'll have to send that one back and buy something bigger. Fingers crossed🤞

Not a clue what the tv draws but never runs the battery down if used which is seldom, tv cost me £25 at car boot sale and is like new.
