Champion generators?

Thanks for the replies and I have certainly increased my generator knowledge but getting back to my initial query re Champion generators - for approx 2 kW equivalent inverter machines:
Honda (EU20i)>£1000, 21kg, 51dB @ 7m
Hyundai (HY2000Si) £600, 29kg, 58dB @ 7m
Champion (72001i) <£400, 25kg, 53dB @ 7m
If website figures are to be believed the Champion seems a no brainer to me.
But has anyone any experience of this brand?

Homelite were the first outboard with f/stroke engine based on the crossley auto engine ,it was 55hp called bercat.
Honda copied these as most jap early engine were copies of others esp m/bikes,honda /nsu kawasaki/bsa a10 susuki and bridgestone/ mz,yamaha may have played there own tune.

Please be careful where you buy from. All that's painted red and has HONDA printed on the side is not necessarily a Honda product.
The above is a counterfeit Honda gen-set. I bought it from a charity shop in Javia Spain. The guy showed me it working on 110 volt drill and I thought it was a bargain until I got it back and tried 230 volts. On investigation it turned out to be a cheap [very] Chinese copy. No parts are available as the builder wish's to remain Anonymous for some reason?

Anyone want cheap generator, it looks really nice has a lovely red cover with great writing on it - engine doesn't make too much noise and you can have 110 volts anywhere you can take it?
