Caravans give you more freedom than motorhomes.

no he did not know what payload at all.
He did not know what the term meant.

I've had dealers and brokers just email me photos of the plate with the max weights on the van on several occasions when I have asked for the payload.. :ROFLMAO:

In the interests of balance, my 2018 Wildax Europa based on a Renault Master has a very good payload. With water and a good load of fuel it's at least 500kg.
I agree, apart from their Mercedes Elara wich used to have a 220kg payload on a manual box. But I see they have managed to increase this by 100kg. Real shame because the Elara is a cracking van. But other than that most Wildaxe vans have at least a 400kg payload some a good bit more.

My van had over 1000kg of available payload when I got it weighed before I bought it.

Is there a smug emoticon? yes there is.

If you are happy going over 3.5 tonne, and want payload, may as well do it properly and get a 7 tonne Iveco.
Will carry most of our vans over the back axle, 1 at a time I mean, not all at once. :ROFLMAO:

Yes that’s all great, but as I have already indicated I have nothing against caravans, and they do have many advantages over us, but to state that they offer more freedom is nonscence. Obviously they are cheaper to buy than motorhomes, and cheaper to run, that’s not up for debate that’s just a fact. But even that is debatable to a point. I bought my last van in 2019 traded it in four and a half years later for just £4000 less than what I paid for it. If I had sold privately I could have possibly got all my initial outlay back.
But to be honest times were not normal then due to covid.
I would never walk up to a tugger at a show and start of by telling him my van offers more freedom than his caravan, I reckon this guy was both wrong, and tactless.
Some folk love their caravans, but give me the freedom and flexibility a Moho offers every time.
We took our two Grandsons with us in the Caravan to France for 3 Months Disney . campsites the works and carried all their clobber also a large AWNING EEEEKKKK loved it but wow hard work , we have also had trips out with them UK using the CCC rallies christmas and New Year rallies they loved it and made lots of friends we also have taken them away in the Motorhome had a Tag axle Hymer at the time so plenty of room in that , but not so easy in that as only used a wind out canopy then , we now have 2 great Grand Children both infants and I am now 80 so don't think they will be coming out with us as much as our Grandsons did hee hee although their Mums are already hinting at it UUUMMMMM

Bill I came very close to buying that Bursner Lyseo at the show yesterday it has the Perfect layout for us. But lacks in the storage department he offered a decent Trade in price on my big van. I’m still thinking it over still might get back to them on it. I’m gonna find it difficult to give up on some of the luxuries my big van has. The other van I fancied was the big Dethleffs Alpha similar lay out just a bit better finished a very expensive Van. I was very close to to making a deal there and then but clenched the buttocks and walked away.

When we had the CARAVAN we were part of a group called The happy weekenders they were a Motorhome group that used a HAVEN caravan park at Bashley new Milton Hampshire , every weekend , well they had to field 30 vans each weekend and had to pay the site even if they could not do that and the group was about to fold so they decided to open the club up to CARAVANNERS too ,, A friend who had a Motorhome introduced us to the group and we joined it we always took our 2 Grandsons every weekend with us and there were a few other Caravanners there too , Strangely the Motorhomers hardly spoke to us at all because we were CARAVANNERS and considered lower than them it seemed this never bothered us at all as we were there having fun all the time using the Pool every day and great walks etc round the site in the woods , WELL what happened was {sorry JETHRO ] we turned up one weekend in our Brand new HYMER tag axle Motorhome and never realised how many friends we actually had amongst the Motorhomers as they were all over us , and we were suddenly no longer miss fits it seemed , hypocrites all of them we thought, any way we just carried on as normal and enjoyed it just as we always had , Funny old world aint it hee hee ???

Yes Wully the Dethleffs was a cracking van, but I reckon the Burstner was a better deal.
Yes the garage was small due to it only using the space under the rear seating, instead of a bed. But for £106,000 it’s a lot of Moho. Also it had the 180 engine, I have that on the new van, and the Fiat spec looked top notch, auto box, auto aircon, large display, induction phone charger, chrome surround, and I am sure it will have other fiat packages. Not my cup of tea Wully, we love our PVC, but when I saw the van, I immediately thought of you. Anyway hope you do well whatever you do. (y)

Glad I never went, we would have ended up buying two for 95k each.
