Can you combine Gaslow, Calor and an underslung LPG Tank?

If the Truma ever packs up and apparently they do it might be an option. Its the fridge thats the killer on the gas I guess as its always on and I dont fancy a compressor fridge as for our usage at times even with more solar and lithium I would have concerns it would last.

Barry I would give a 3 way fridge scrap room it would always be a compressor ever time way more efficient

My small fridge is 250mW a hr and lasted on test 24hrs on a lead acid 90ah battery, if in sunlight with say 200ah and solar it will be ok, winter nov dec is a dif matter..

But a true test would have to be six weeks without moving on a field in the UK. Also a replacement fridge for our van would be huge. Its a bigun with a freezer. A lot of power needed I would think.

Yeah after all the problems in the old van which really was old in the end I hated the bloody three way fridge. Always breaking down. I just don't think there will be a viable alternative for us. Touring maybe but not static.

The new one of course is great. At the moment.

All food for thought for further down the line. I wont rule anything out.

@RoaminRog has just replaced his large Thetford fridge (with a separate freezer) and he told me his van had sat outside for a long period over the winter with it turned on and he's had no problems with 300ah of lithium. I'm sure he used a Shoreline SL-FF215 but I'm sure he'll come on here and correct me if I'm wrong.

I only ever had a 38ltr underslung tank and have never run out of gas.and as you can see its well protected by the alloy guard.[ATTAC H=full]142503[/ATTACH]

Last year but before I fitted it I gave it 2 coats of zinc primer 3 coats of underseal and 1 coat of red paint the last one was on just over 10 years .
