Totally agree Wully, I only posted it to give these poor sods false hope.Don’t listen to his pish as much as I like him he’s talking bollocks. I’ve not been bitten wae a midge in years and I stay there all the nets and sprays in the world won’t save you. Just do this one thing spend the summer in Devon or Cornwall .
I agree with the man Oor wee midge do a grand job of keeping the Scotland free of hoards of tourists in the summer and the shite weather keeps them at bay for the rest of the year and if Wully goes south that’s a lot of Scottish road he’s freeing up taking that mahoosive motorhome and tow car to Cornywall.Don’t listen to his pish as much as I like him he’s talking bollocks. You never mentioned the localsWe may not have midges in Cornwall (except on the Moors) but we do have loads of clegs and ticks, especially those wee ones that are easy to miss. Oh and loads of adders of course!
We have adders up here you know, they live in a place called Hollyrood, and are not very good at counting.I'm not daft. I live here!!
A friend of mine got bitten by one in her compost heap. Felt a bit poorly for a couple of hours. A week later her collie got bitten whilst out walking on the sand dunes. He was unconscious by the time she got to a vet. The vet said there was little she could do apart from some drug that might well kill him but, as he was dying anyway they tried it and it worked! He's still racing up and down that beach to this dayWe have adders up here you know, they live in a place called Hollyrood, and are not very good at counting.
Seriously we saw an adder several years ago whilst doing Ben Venue in the Trossachs. Sadly they have bitten dogs that were to inquisitive, and the poor dogs have died. But I have never heard of anyone being bitten.
Careful what you say on here or you'll be in trouble with the thought police. I've already had a post deleted on this thread because of a comment about McNeish's political leanings. We have adders up here you know, they live in a place called Hollyrood, and are not very good at counting.
