C1 driving licence renewal

Yes there is involves a injection to speed up your heart Not very pleasant I'm lead to believe and you could end up doing it every couple of years if they don't renew for 3 yrs

I was with my wife at the GP a couple of days ago, and he asked me how I was getting on, and when I mentioned the treadmill test being brutal, he said the chemical test is much worse as you can’t just ‘stop’ like you can when stepping of the treadmill. He doesn’t recommend it.

I hate lack of empathy in a service environment, and also a lack of a way to bring it to anyone’s awareness.

Contact your MP, might not help you but could rattle the cage a bit.

Don't use emotion and just state facts and dates (evidenced where possible).
Ask if they have targets and if so are they meeting them.

As written in another thread, I phoned DVLA yesterday and was told I could have to wait up to 12 months for a decision. And so I wrote to my MP last night.

On checking online my licence details just now, I can see that I now have a full C1 licence for another 3 years. Sorted! The drinks are on me. (Well they would be but I don’t drink alcohol)

I wrote to my MP back in 2022 after waiting many months for my renewal.

Their assistant called the DVLA and I received a callback from a DVLA manager.

My renewed licence arrived not long after.

It seems to work.
