Hi Arthur . the mirror looks the same but my single rubber sleeve would not fit around it, thanks for your time, Malc.

Thanks I have noticed that on my mirror but had not realised what it was for at the time.I like the reflectors you have fitted too. Both of my mirrors have a plastic insert that sits between the two round holes so that the rubber sleeve sits in a grove the whole way around.

I do not particularly want heated and remote adjustment of mirrors either ,but that is what was fitted to my van when I bought it, so one replaces like for like, I seldom move my mirrors either as once set that is where they stay, but it is nice to be able to change the rear view as required remotely when reversing into tight spots or where there may be a post or other obstruction in the line of reversing that may not otherwise been seen? although I have not had to do this to date.As with all mechanical things if one does not move them occasionally they will seize up.Precisely, mine are fixed as well and work perfectly well without any electrical adjustment, once they are set in the correct position they don't need any more adjustment,I haven't moved mine for about 3 years.
At risk of being labelled a luddite I don't think that electrically adjustable, heated mirrors with integral side markers are necessarily a good thing on delivery vans.Taking into consideration the large amount of wing mirrors damaged every year, particularly the long arm type I think that basic fixed mirrors would be a better option.Still,it keeps people like wing mirror man in business.
