Anyone painted their bumpers, if so, with what brand and how do you rate the result?

I've tried linseed oil, WD40, hair dryer, all the usual ones that You Tube tell you are the best and only way to get back that original look. THEY DON'T WORK unless you think a few weeks is a good result.

I've used Zinsser paint on upvc which has proved very long lasting, wondering if it would do plastic bumpers just as well?

If you are talking about bumpers etc in a black colour, then I used forever black. A dye and not cheap, the bumper had to be clear of any silicon based product. Foreverblack supplied a cleaner to help remove the silicon.
Paint the dye on. Usually took a couple of applications to give it depth and then top up every six months or more. Sometimes I got close to a year before needing to reapply.
Buy from eBay usually.
As an aside, they also do a tyre gel which has good anti UV properties. Again the tyres must be clear of any silicon before applying. I use a paintbrush. Doesn't give a gloss finish, but they do look good with a black sheen. if you do them regularly you build up a depth. I do mine every couple of months. Looks good, and never had sidewall cracks, mind you 9,000 miles each year helps.
Expensive products but a little goes a long way.

Thanks Davy, I will look into it later.

Any cheap bumper spray paint will do it. Just follow what it says on the can. I did mine 3 or 4 years ago and it was still good when we sold it, I think the paint was from Yorkshire Trading of some similar outfit, Nothing special.

Painting is time consuming with prep and masking etc and still get overspray all over the van. Once it’s painted that’s it. A good quality bumper gel is what I use. Easily applied after washing the van and buffs up to a shine👌. Done mine yesterday and it passed mot today so the tester liked it😎

I think that would work out too expensive, the front and rear bumpers are very large then there 12" high side panels that are faded.

Now tbf you didn't say how much you wanted to pay. :)

Worth trying the cheaper options but if they don't work then the stuff I linked to should...just make sure to clean off the various oils and peanut butter before trying.:)

When I was buying and selling vans Ral, I had the same problem, nothing worked for long so I decided to paint them, purely based on me spilling some vinyl paint outside and forgetting to clean it up, it was there 5 years later, so I got the right shade mixed up at B&Q, brushed it on thinly to keep the texture, I sold the van two years later with it still on, the beauty of this is a kettle of boiling water will bring it off if you don't like it.

I had to do a repair on a bumper; it was a cheap van and I didn't want to pay a fortune for painting it.
