British Attitudes to Tourists

There are some good points and some bad points made by the various corespondents, now it's time to call it a day!

It takes someone with great skill to not get upset or emotional about comments that were or were not implied by a person or persons unknown.

Most of us have a view on a subject, some choose to look at an issue through a very narrow perspective, others try to take everything into account.

Usually it is the middle route that is probably the best taking a range of constraints into consideration.

Some will never agree, so to agree to disagree is usually the best policy.

There will always be those with extreme views, who will not even consider anything outside of their mind set.

It takes a bold person to recognise others inability to take your particular opinion into consideration and leave it at that.

We're supposed to be a friendly group with a common interest, my feelings are, if it gets too far away from the original topic, STOP.

After all, if an outsider looks at the posts, will they warm to Wild Campers? or just feel that they are an argumentative bunch at the peripheral of society?.

I'm amazed at the way this post is going - normally the threads are much more "live and let live" !! Is it the full moon or something??? :rolleyes:
 
Well, this is all very interesting. You go away for a couple of weeks and..........

To Tom and Bigpieeater - last night, in bed, I referred your comments about me masquerading as another to my solicitor and she advised me to say nothing but to take you for everything you've got. I would therefore be gratefull if you could list everyhting you've got, so that I can take you for it.

But I'm not very good at saying nothing, as you may have noticed, so if you check back though all Notherner's posts you will find that I disagreed violently with him on a certain point (the nature of which I cannot remember at the moment) so it would therefore be impossible for us to be one and the same person because, always being right, I cannot possibly disagree with myself.


And it is so good, bigpieeater, to see you reverting to type - I got very nervous a couple of weeks back when you actually praised something I wrote. I feel much more comfortable now. Btw, now that capitalism has followed communism down the economic drain, where are you going to take your right wing fanaticism now? :fun:


PS I may be out of touch again for a week or so, but I will eagerly await your response on my return.
 
The government is like an aircraft, it has both a left and right wing, if in equal proportions goes on and on. If there is an imbalance either way, it goes round in circles getting nowhere.

Of course some may say it's like a hot air balloon (quite apt considering the hot air blown in some of the co-respondents)
