No, the Nationwide account costs £13 per month and pays interest of about £6.50 a month, so it costs about £6.50 net each month. Even if you ignore the other benefits, it is good value for Europe-wide breakdown cover. I've only used them once, but they were excellent.

ADAC aren't taking UK signups any more.

Isn't the amount of interest rather dependant on how much you have in the account? So may pay YOU £6.50 but someone else could get more or rather less.
Just think quoting such an absolute figure when advising someone else how much it would cost them is rather daft (unless of course it IS £6.50 set figure, in which case I will open an account with my spare fiver and get a stonking return  )

The good rate of interest is paid on £2500. There is no point in having more than that in the account and a higher balance won't increase the interest. So the amount of interest is indeed a set amount
So ... your saving of £6.50 on the £13 a month relies on two things:

1) You have £2,500 available to put into a Nationwide Account
2) That £2,500 is currently earning ZERO interest elsewhere (otherwise you need to deduct the amount of interest lost when taking out of the existing account to transfer to Nationwide)
