Ì have just had a brand new. Battery delivered an hour ago and there is nothing coming out of it except my multimeter give 0.02 volts across the poles.
GRoc says the BMS has shut down for safety in transit or deep discharge has happened and the BMS has shut off.
I understand that flashing a higher voltage works with power tool batteries but I do not want to do this to a 3000AH battery.
Anybody got any suggestions, I cannot contact the sellers yet. HOwever I am very pleased I did not struggle to get it in the find out the voltage is dead.

I don't think you need (or would want) to use a "higher voltage" if by that you mean a lot higher than 12V. just using a regular 12V battery (such as the one you are removing presumably) and connecting that in parallel to the new battery for a few seconds should be sufficient and have no risk.

What battery is it could the load just be turned off in the bms?
IT just arrived and I have no information about the BMS there is no mention in the paperwork other a reference to 14.2 volts across the poles to chrge.
I am regally pxxxed of as I expect a new delivery to be ready to go or at least how to make it go. Somelipo batteries have an app and Bluetooth but no mention of anything in the book.

Where did you get it from, and did it come with instructions (or an online equivalent)? FWIW, I bought a LiFePO4 100Ah from Alpha Batteries and that has an On/Off & WakeUp switch and the instructions say it must be fully charged using a minimum 10A charger before first use. I wonder whether yours has similar. Mine is PolarMax branded.

Batteries now tend to have a QR Code Label on the battery top which when scanned will take you to more info and an App if applicable. Got anything like that on the battery?

Have you put a charger on it? The BMS on our bike batteries can be shut down for storage and to fire them up you plug in the charger. As wildebus said above probably only needs a few seconds to activate.
