Rob could you not fit a bracket to one of the wheel studs front and back to fix the awning to, a flat bit of bar with 2 holes, one for the stud and other for fixing awning to, leave them on the studs.
I've just bought some new wheel trims Trev so the studs would be covered. I think I'm going to go with Tim's Bulb-Tite rivets.
Seems the simplest solution and providing I'm careful when drilling hopefully won't do any damage. Probably use a sealant/adhesive as well.
I like the idea of the permanent fixing just ready to use stillMy thoughts as well David. (crossed posts!).
Could possibly go on the filler cap cover though as I won't need to access that when parked. Only problem there is that there is a decal which runs across the cover which I wouldn't want to damage.
they don't have to be the same height ,or even in line
put one on the door with double-sided tape to wind her up .

They don't Nigel.
But it would drive Julie mad if they weren't!
so ,for the sake of clarity, you don't advocate disparity ?Sometimes things HAVE to be at the same height even if they don't have to be at the same height![]()
