Awning Brackets

Rob could you not fit a bracket to one of the wheel studs front and back to fix the awning to, a flat bit of bar with 2 holes, one for the stud and other for fixing awning to, leave them on the studs.

I've just bought some new wheel trims Trev so the studs would be covered. I think I'm going to go with Tim's Bulb-Tite rivets.

Seems the simplest solution and providing I'm careful when drilling hopefully won't do any damage. Probably use a sealant/adhesive as well.

...also the front wheel would be too far forward to line up with the C-rail at the top. Nice idea though.

My thoughts as well David. (crossed posts!).

Could possibly go on the filler cap cover though as I won't need to access that when parked. Only problem there is that there is a decal which runs across the cover which I wouldn't want to damage.
I like the idea of the permanent fixing just ready to use still :) I think both of us want that but without any possible consequences of the fitting of them (that is the tricky part!!)

Drive round to you find someone with an awning out and park alongside, I'm sure they would be well pleased to see you. 😂

Tried it once. 😂

I would walk into the left hand, front support . so just added a tube to the leg so they both reached ground.
So no angles here. Just uprights. .

The outer panel is just a thin skin you woul not have to drill very deep befor you hit the inner stronger panel ,could make riv nuts a problem if you put self tappers in to the inner panel it may pull in bending the outer skin
