Availability of diesel in Europe in the coming months

We have crossed over into France this afternoon diesel at the services on the A28 2.87 euro per litre
We filled up at Maidstone services it was £1.99.9
Spanish motorway services tend to be charging around the €2.03 mark for diesel. Those that are not toll based that is. The discrepancy between France and Spain has to make the Santander/Bilbao ferry crossing more attractive now for those heading to Spain, rather than a channel crossing and driving through France.

To me this looks like the big push to electric veh in the uk.
Electric vans and Motorhomes just ain’t there yet Trev, Electric cars are becoming much more normal. But they’re not as economical as you’d think I’m many cases. The cars ain’t cheap to start with, if you haven’t got solar/parking with an EV rate then you have to charge in public places, that can take a long time or with fast chargers be more expensive than you’d might think.

Not really. Probably more to do with a load of oil producing regions being bombed to F (with some opportunistic oil profiteering on the side) rather than any sinister electrification conspiracy theory, Trev ;)
Thing is we get most of our oil from other places so why the hike, suspect share holders are on a good one.

New batteries and chineses cars end of this year will have 500/700 mile range, 80% charges in 3 mins and full in 6/8 mins, price 20 grand.

Can't see that happening Trev.
Its already sorted Rob, at moment they have 20 fail rate on the batteries as the lawer between compounds is micro thin, but the new batteries are a fraction of price compared to old litium types, all on the net to read.

I've read it Trev, I seem to remember reading it last year as well.

Oil and Gas is priced as global commodities. It makes very little difference that virtually none of ours comes through the straits. If suddenly 20% of it is choked off it affects the price everywhere. Our sources will be under extra demand as a result as well.

The new MG4 (where you got the Semi Solid State battery picture from) is expected to have a range of 258 miles and 15% faster charging than LFP apparently and a price not released yet?

The MG battery isn't solid state, it's just a slightly different makeup, and so far that's the way all these stories are going, only partially true but make a good news story.

Yes I've seen them Trev.

But your prediction of New batteries and chineses cars end of this year will have 500/700 mile range, 80% charges in 3 mins and full in 6/8 mins, price 20 grand". I personally don't think will happen.

You may get some of those attributes in various cars, but all of them for £20k I just cant see happening that quickly.

We shall see.
Thats what they are saying, time will tell.

Thing i cant get my head round is where the extra power is going to be found if folk charge cars at night at home, surly we would require new cables as thick as a elephants trunk running up every street, or homes with solar panels for summer charging, all this will take many years to get sorted.
