Arghhhhh! Broken the bed again!!

Just a thought but as the support has just split along the bendy right angled bit and not broken into pieces like the old one used to do could it be welded or glued?

If only you knew someone who could post a picture into a post.

Just saying like.

This is the end thats broke. The arrow shows me pressing down on the split bit and you can see the gap. The outer lip is also split. Ill probably find it eventually somewhere. Would be better to have something fabricated from steel if you ask me. Stupid design. Not Rock God proof.

Seems self builds are much stronger, mine has storage space under the solid wood tops.

Looks like plastic covered MDF not alumium very difficult to decide what is best not being on site but they are notoriously weak, ours is broken too.

There is holes and air gaps, no damp or rot in 12 years as yet. ;)

Sprung mattress or memory foam Trev?

I use memory foam and can get slight damp problems even though I use slats (where the slats touch the mattress). I'm considering using some sort of ventilation tiles on top of the slats, similar to this;

Similar under the sofa cushions as well.

4 inch matress from ikea top bed, no idea about construction, bottom bed is seat sofa bed from a eldis caravan.

Rear lounge beds are certainly not made for serious shagging thats for sure. I have come to the conclusion that not much of that goes on in motorhomes. As far as I am aware I'm the only person that this seems to repeatedly happen to although its usually caused by me on my own to be fair. :D
Ah i see but you`ve clearly not got the hang of it yet ........... or should that be hand of it yet :unsure: ;) :ROFLMAO:

Needs ventilation though Trev.

Trev doesn't use his van the same as most on here Rob, he posted that he only goes away for one night at a time so condensation wouldn't be a big problem for him
I nnever stay away more than one night, i have 2 90ah lead acids votronic regulator 200w solar, all running a 230v fridge with a smart 600w inverter, led lights and a tv which we never watch much, ph charging and some times a 400w plug in heater, again seldom used, but no way would this work in deep winter if staying off grid for more that 2 days max, each van owner must work out his use and sort to there requirements.
If this is way beyond you then book in somewhere LOL.View attachment 137284
