Are diesel pumps running dry?

You’re better off investing in homing pigeons, my mate has been selling his two for years now,
Not true! I know I should have had my eye test before hand, and the typeface and font *were* too small to read comfortably, but I was convinced the label said, 'Pigeons coming home to roast' - there was very little meat, the taste was not to my liking, and the cost per kg equivalent was extortionate ... :ROFLMAO:

The oil price has risen 17.65% this week to just over US$85 per barrel as of yesterday; this morning, the price continues to rise and has just passed US$87 per barrel.

Meanwhile, Trump has granted India a 30 day waiver to buy Russian oil and wants a say in the appointment of Iran's new Supreme Leader - given his intellect, he'll probably nominate Diana Ross ...

Halifax House Price Index reports a slowdown in UK prices to 0.3% last month, and most of the Financial Analysts are reporting that the inflationary impact of the oil price surge means that the anticipated interest rate reduction of 0.25%, that was still on the cards as recently as last week, will not happen and the cost of living crisis is moving back up the news agenda

I have just been to a local garage to fill the motorhome lpg tank and noticed that diesel has gone from £1.36 last week to £1.51
Luckily the lpg has stayed the same at 99.9p
That is disturbing to hear as the oil price is high due to market speculation (you could say rigging if you were cynical). It should drop soon given that Iran now has no Navy and it's rocket stocks are being diminished. The Straits of Hormuz could open sooner than many think and we will be back to normal. The problem the UK is more likely to have is a shortage of LPG due to our main supplier being hit by drones and seriously damaged (according to some reports).

If only we had a local supply of oil and gas things would be much better (and much cheaper). Instead, we stop operating in the North Sea, so that Norway can expand its operations, so that we can import from them. But hey, what do I know??

Local private owned fuel station to me, speaking with the owner he said folks would pop in and say stick in 10-20 quid of fuel. Since the war kicked off, these same folks, plus others are now brimming their tank. He is due a tanker tomorrow, if this does not arrive, station will be out off fuel.

Oil prices have increased more than 20% in the last week ...

EDIT: Update - Oil has now passed the US$90 mark *and* Iraq + Kuwait are shutting down production because they are running out of storage space with the virtual standstill on tanker shipments. And the OPEC members have acknowledged that the shipment problems could effectively break major world economies, with the production shutdown taking months to reverse, and a further period of months for the economies to restart operations and get back to full economic activity

2008/09 Financial Crisis rerun? It's very early, but already more than a 'moan about the 10p per litre increase after last week's rise'

It was two others, one was Moeve.
I think Moeve is CEPSA as was, but who cares? As long as they have fuel at reasonable prices ... Our local Asda has run out of fuel and has just closed, without notice or explanation - hoping it will reopen when new supplies become available
