You mean windows rubbish.I use eset which covers all computers and laptops in the house.
What distro are you using please.
Lite & zorin are 5 year long term with 6 mths updates to latest distro with one click with out loss of stored info and stuff in folders ,work out of the box with no bother & no requirement to fresh install as linux does not hold snibits of cr-p on board though you can do a clean up in the tools section, ubuntu i have had some issues with, mint better but changed to lite years back, son is using zorin as lots of games ready to installed for him from there repository, lite has only a small amount but as im not a gamer i dont care.I've been using Ubuntu for the last couple of months, prior to that I used Bunsenlabs for a few years, this is quite light but lacking. In a moment of desperation I switched to Ubuntu as I find most things work straight out of the box but it's not my favourite.
I tried to get all my PC's running the same flavour so had to go with Bunsenlabs for the oldest a Samsung NC10. The NC10 now runs, possible Ubuntu, and with the LXDE desktop.
Today on this my main PC I reinstalled Mint Mate , which is really good. I always have a separate /Home partition so swapping to a different flavour is a 30 minute job, also after a period of time a fresh install is always the best way to go i feel.
So if your're looking for a friendly, lightish, well featured OS I'd recommend Linux Mint with the Mate desktop.
