Alpha 4G Camp Pro antenna.

No drivers required under linux, just plug and play with almost everything, windows is blind and deaf, head down now.
That’s not true Trev, drivers are required for all operating system. Most Linux packages Mac OS’s and Windows all come with tons of drivers installed but only for kit that is used by many. It’s no problem installing drivers on any of the os’s in my experience so long as they still exist

I have emailed support at Solwise and sent them a link to this thread. Its a bit cheeky but worth a try.

Bit of an update. Got nowhere really contacting Solwise and various other 4g modem / antenna companies. Alpha in Taiwan eventually sent me a new firmware upgrade. So this morning I tried it. It was completely different software to the original one and it took a while to get my head around it but it did let me save the vodafone wap details this time. See screen shots below. However, just the same. It wont connect. I must have messed on for a couple of hours. In the end I downloaded a driver and connection App just for the Alpha Tube-U4G Antenna. I then found a Vodafone connection and altered it for the UK vodafone WAP details, hit connect and it worked. Speeds in the van on the front were not much better than my mobile phone as a hot spot but signal was pretty poor in there anyway and the antenna was just sat on the seat inside but I guess its some kind of progress. As you can see from the second screen shot its connected but no DNS. I even tried manually putting one in. No joy.

So the issue seems to be with the router. I Think what I might do is just use it that way in an emergency. At least I know I can get either an additional EE sim or just stick my vodafone sim in it if I am struggling for a signal on the mobile.

Good to hear you've some progress.

The router isn't the best! I think I mentioned that in a previous post.

I'll look and see if I've any images that show how I set up some time ago.
