As it seems that many folks have an air fryer these days I thought it might be an idea to see if we can post up some simple recipes.

We eat a lot of chicken as we are on a low carb diet. One simple dish that I make is this one...

Air fried Keto chicken

Diced chicken - 2 breasts diced up works well enough for us

80gms ground almonds
1/2 tsp flaked sea salt...any salt would do or none if you are low sodium
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper...or more if you like it hot
1 egg

- Dice up the chicken
- Beat up the egg
- Mix the other ingredients together
- Dip the chicken bits in the egg and then in the dry mix
- Wang it all in the air fryer and use the 1 cal spray oil on top just to help it crisp
- Stick it on for as long as you think in the air fryer. I do 15mins at 200 degrees in our Ninja. Make sure to give it a shake half way through.

Your own chicken nuggets which do not taste of almonds. I serve this on top of a mixed salad but anything you like would do.

This is one that appeals to me for snacking on a lazy afternoon before the pub;

Cook enough of them and they can be scoffed cold on return from the pub. Probably not the healthiest with the skin on but meh, it's tasty!

There is [or, more likely was] an Insurance Brokers on the back roads into Bognor Regis from Chichester that I spotted on my return from a tedious meeting at County Hall, so I decided to cheer myself up and paid them a visit.

'Hello, can I help you?', asked the Receptionist

'In answer to the question aove your door, I can think of bacon, eggs and chips as a minimum, and probably several others if you give me a minute'. I replied in my best [bad] scouse accent

'I beg your pardon?', replied the Receptionist

'The question above your door - Worrall Fry', I respnded, and walked back out of the door :ROFLMAO:

:LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

Your post reminds me though Steve, I must investigate cooking a Flinglish in the Air Fryer.

Yesterday's chips from chippy, they don't half crisp up in a few minutes @200. That's if you have any left (best without vinegar on)

Ours cooks a 1.8kg whole chicken ( fresh ) in 50 minutes and they`re .................................................. boooooooooootiful as Bernard used to say.

Rub with preferred oil then put in pan upside down and cook on roast at 190C for 30 minutes, turn over then cook again roast at 190C for 20 minutes job done.

Lots of Diabetes Cakes available Kev, most of which can be done in an Air Fryer;

They do look good.
Got to get one of these air fryer things. Was gonna wait till I dump gas in van, but no reason to wait really.

Just remembered, I never cook cakes. :ROFLMAO:
