Is this truly a genuine discount, i.e. do you wait until they provide the initial quote and then ask for the discount to be applied or do they need to know up front?
Call me a cynic but personally I think there is no such thing as a discount when it comes to insurance.

We hear this all the time on here is it a real discount.
All I know is I paid less than £750 for my car and Motorhome, and that’s very competitive. Yesterday I had a query about my new van, which I hope to get in 2-3 months. I wanted to know if would get a period of grace for having the alarm and tracker fitted after I collected it. The phone was answered immediately. The very pleasant girl took details contacted the insurer, and phoned me back ten minutes later to inform me I would be allowed 14 days after inception of the new policy. I have been with them now for four years and I am very pleased with AIB.

I agree if its a small amount.
I was quoted £1200 from AIB £650 from Caravan and Motorhome club.
Both were for the same insurance company
