A near miss?

Which takes me back to my original question (which might have been more useful without my cockup with the height dimensions) What's the actual height of yer standard PV (Ducato/Boxer/Relay) used for run of the mill conversions?

To be sure you are probably best off measuring it yourself to remove any doubt.

The dimensions Fiat give are here.

I measured mine as it wasn't standard spec. Not that I remember what the measurement was though 🤣

Apparently mine is 2780mm but I would have to add probably 100mm for the Unistrut bars and solar panels.

To be honest I think I will just call it 3 metres, it's easier to remember. :)

These are the details given in the handbook for Series 8 and 9 Ducatos. The height figures are for standard tyres and vehicle unladen.

Always worth getting a tape measure out and checking.
I also don't trust all height signs after getting jammed in a car park, van was lower than height stated (but not by much 🤣 ) went under the barrier, and then got jammed. Fortunately it was a VW T3 pick up and was only the ladder rack that hit the roof.
Similar story but in France in a car with roof rack. There were height signs and my overall vehicle height was less than the height sign showed. Got stuck under pipes above and across the drive round route. Had to remove the roof box in order to proceed.
