13 yr old Lead Acid battery

Final update. Been back from our trip for about two weeks, now. Used the inverter and old battery almost every day, for a couple of months touring. No problems encountered, so, a successful experiment.
Isolated the old battery, from the battery banks, and it shows 12.7volts, after standing for the last two weeks. Just need to wire it properly, when I get time, and won't replace it, until it fails. That will be with another lead acid battery. At my age, there is no point whatsoever, in fitting anything else.
This time get a 10 year old to do it. :ROFLMAO:

In the past few years i have had the plessure of seeing and sometimes sorting van & boat wireing jobs done my folk, some god must have been watching over them for what i seen would scare the life out of you, if only the ins co could seen they would have run a mile.
Wildbus on here gives very good advice if folk cared to follow his threads.

Don't know what these last posts have got to do with my experiment, using a 13yr old lead acid battery., apart from Trev mistakenly thinking that my wiring was rubbish. He was wrong, but, we can all make mistakes.

There's always a bit of thread drift and banter Mick.

On the plus side, it does put your thread back in latest posts on the home page so makes it more likely that others will read it.
