£1 road tax

50 & 20 pence coins are shaped as they are so they can be removed from your hand using a shifter spanner.
The UK £1 coin changed from a round coin to a 12-sided dodecagon shape in March 2017.

Presumably you are so poor that you haven't encountered a £1 coin in the last nine years.

You never got embarrassed that time I asked you for a tissue to blow ma nose, you nearly died as it was your first white pound note 💷
Any currency less than a £20 note, are irrelevant to me. 🤭

You must have always been rich if you gave a white note every time you bought something costing a pound.

There was never a white Bank of England £1 note.
The £1 note was originally yellow/gold before being changed to green in the 1920s.
White notes were reserved for higher denominations, primarily the £5

I never said I gave anyone a currency note of any kind.

Definitely David. MH and cars I use to do a one off annual payment. Not now, monthly by DD, which makes this move easier, plus I can’t drive camper right now due to an injury.
I think everyone knows the rule now about tax getting cancelled when there is a change of ownership, but I got nice and lucky, oh, around 10 years ago... looked at a VW T5 and it has just been retaxed for the year a couple of weeks earlier. Bought it, did the V5 transfer and for some reason, I got sent the tax refund for 11 months rather then the seller. He didn't know about the auto-cancel so didn't miss not getting it either :)
