And that will be £175 thank you very much

I have just phoned UK Gov pet travel and they have confirmed that the tapeworm tablet is required to enter NI and ROI but it is NOT required fro re-entry back to the UK. This only applies to these countries. All other EU countries are the other way round i.e. no tablet going out but tablet...

Everything I read states worming is not required from ROI to UK. I have attached some snippets from various sites. Strangely, the UK Gov site still states worming is required but all the others, even the Irish gov site states not required.

It is not suspended. That was temporarily for NI only. If you enter ROI from UK, you must have AHC and worming tablet, both from a registered vet. The worming tablet is not required for entry back to the UK. If you enter NI from UK, it was suspended but I'm sure it is now required again as there...

Advice on 1st time travel with dogs

I was thinking of the annual all-in booster but I'm not sure if that is required by the EU.

There is another cheap vet in Havant - ideal for south coast ferries. It is called Passpets. £99 for first dog. Discount for 2nd dog. Also 10% discount for future use. Also, don't forget that any EU passport is invalidated if a UK vet stamps it after any jabs. All jabs need to be done in EU.

Advice on 1st time travel with dogs

Don't forget, if you get a pet passport from Europe, you will need to get all future jabs done there also. Any stamps from an English vet invalidates the passport. We stuck with the AHC as I can't guarantee that I will be in Europe every year.

How reliable are Lithium leisure batteries?

Having just changed our van, we are installing new solar and Gaslow. While talking to the installation company, I mentioned lithium and he advised against it. He stated they have had many customers with various problems. He talked us out of spending several hundred pounds so I tend to believe...

    Berchtesgaden motorhome parking?

They were parked just before the turning area for the buses on the left hand side of the road.

    Berchtesgaden motorhome parking?

We parked in the car park where the bus operates from but when the bus reached the top of the hill, there were motorhomes and cars parked up there. I suppose it's luck of the draw if there is room to park. If you are there early in the day, it might be worth driving up. The guides say the road...

ETIAS – European Travel Information And Authorisation System

What p***ed me off more than anything was the Animal Health Certificate farce. I was watching Crufts and couldn't believe how many dogs had come from Europe, all on their Pet Passports. I contacted my local MP, Steve Brine about the unfairness of it all, and to be fair, he forwarded my complaint...

    LPG

We have decided against the Corinium. The tank is just 10kg, less than 2 standard bottles. Also we are unable to carry a spare bottle as there is no gas locker or external storage. We wild camp as much as possible and I don't want to worry about running out of gas with no alternative supply...

    LPG

I've been reading this thread with interest as we may be about to buy an Auto-sleeper Corinium that has underslung LPG tank. ATM we have a Gasit system, mainly because of Europe, but I have noticed we need additional forward planning in the UK, especially in Scotland, so I am naturally concerned...

    Justpark

Has anyone used Justpark for overnight stops? Most of the parking spots are privately owned driveways or car parks so I have no idea if there are any local sleeping restrictions. Looking in London there are many reasonable parking locations, some as low as £40 for one week. I cannot find any...

Crap on Scottish Roads! (it's not us)

Don't waste your time. I joined the The Land Weeps, to argue our case, but they don't want to hear it. They are very anti tourist, not just motorhomers. They are even against aires. They just want every tourist on a campsite or in a hotel. I left the group to save my sanity.

    Scottish adventure.

We know Scotland like the back of our hands. The obvious route for a newbie is the NC500, but every man and his dog are doing that, now the route has a name. That has caused a negative local reaction. However there are not many roads in Scotland so alternatives or diversions can be difficult...

    Sissinghurst anyone?

We will be visiting Sissinghurst Gardens & Scotney Castle soon but the whole area seems to be devoid of wild camps and CS's. Does anyone know of a nearby hideaway we can overnight please?

Thanks Boris. Another one to try out.

    River Thames wild camps.

As jagmanx said, no overnight. Barriers are closed at night which always means everyone is kicked out.

Hi Canalsman, perfect. I think Bablock must be the one I saw on here before. I obviously did not scroll west enough. They both look ideal although Aston looks like it could be a narrow approach. We have a 7.4m coach built. We already have too many window scratches from exploring. Have you been...
