    Bonnet Respray

That’s the bonnet off to get painted. Surprisingly big when you have to fit it into a Fabia hatch. Cheers H

    Phew That’s A Relief.

I had some signs of a wee bit of damp showing up as moisture on the shelf behind the loo and washbasin. Took the blind assembly off the bathroom window and it is bone dry. So much so there’s a fitters ticket behind the assembly and it’s bone dry. 😉 Not bad for 2004/5. Cheers H

    Tyrepal Solar 6

I have this two year old Tyrepal Solar 6 system if anyone is interested. I'll put new cells in the sensors and the only bits that are missing is the rubber dust protectors, about £0.50 for four from Tyrepal. I'm wanting £90 for it. The current one is here:-...

    Roof Vents

Whist fettling the van after the assault perpetrated by my Romanian chums at the car wash, I've discovered that two of our three identical roof lights are cracked on one mounting screw. Don't know what make they are but they are dead rattly and very noisy in a gale. I think the cut outs are...

    Vinyl On Bonnet?

Our van, in common with many Fiats, suffers from the non sticky paint on the bonnet so I'm thinking of getting it wrapped just with a single plain colour. I'd have something with a bit of a pattern but the Boss says no. Anyone had it done? Pics would be nice for a few ideas. Cheers H

Mercury 1500W MSW Inverter For Sale

Essentially new and unused as can be seen in attached pictures. It has come from a friend who has had health problems and the proceeds from this sale will be gift aided to a cancer charity. Because of weight and size I expect postage would be in the order of £10 or it can be collected from...

    Long Arm Mirror

Just had a run in with another van with mirrors at the same height as mine. He was in the wrong of course. Anyhow, now I’m on the lookout for a RH side long arm Ducato mirror circa 2005. All electric job if possible but I’d settle for a non leccy. All pointers gratefully received. Cheers H

Badly Fitting Door (copied over from Motorhomer)

On our Hobby 750 the side door is ill fitting and leaves a 6mm gap at the bottom opposite the hinge side. There was a crude bit of a bodge done with some pipe insulation when we bought the van but that has decayed so I've taken it off. This a curved door to fit the body profile but I'm not...

    Truma Blown Air Heating

Water works perfectly on this C3402 model but I can't get the heating to fire up. Turn outer ring of control to heating only then turn temperature control up to full. The air circulator fan runs at a low speed, which I'm given to understand should be the case initially, but the main burner...

    Rechargeable Lights For Inside

We have two of these very lights in the van. One in the bathroom and one in the bed space. They are very useful and we charge them via usb when we're on the move. Just another small energy saver for the winter months with no EHU...

    Problems with injector wiring 2.8jtd

Asking on behalf of a friend who is not at all techie. He's had recurrent problems with the conductors breaking across the front of the engine and this has resulted in the van being recovered more than once. I'm not aware of any generic problem with that bit of wiring loom and ,touch wood, our...

    Replacement Rooflights

Replacement roof vents with blinds and screens for a roof aperture of 480 x 480mm. Has any one changed theirs? The existing ones are MPK, I think, and rattle like mad in a good breeze. So far the only modern MPK ones I can find specify a 400mm aperture. This on a Hobby 750FML. Cheers H

    Rear View Camera

Thinking of changing the cameras on the Behemoth because they tend to get a fuzzy and the odd led has packed up. They've done four years and came with the set for about forty quid. I seem to remember someone on here saying that if a change is required to go for a camera with the lens NOT behind...

    Door Retainer For Hobby 750.

Having come up with a solution to holding the door open involving suckers, Velcro and a bit of stainless steel I thought I had it sorted. Unfortunately this rig has not stood the test of time and another fix has been found. After seeing how good the vacuum mounts our so uses for rigging mikes...

    Battery and PSW inverter deal.

Stumbled across this. https://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/product/hankook-85ah-leisure-battery-victron-energy-12-250-phoenix-inverter-ve-direct-package/ Seems like a bargain when the inverter alone is listed at £168 upwards elsewhere. Cheers H
