  1. Ordered the van, now what?

What weight vehicle are you getting? If 3.500, ask what your actual payload is. Ours was only 243 kilo and that needed to include me as passenger.
  2. Europe adventure, loads of questions

France Passion as Br it Stops very rarely offer any facilities - just parking for the night. You will need to find Aires etc to dump grey or black waste and top up with water.
  3. Tax Van with short MOT and Insurance left.

I've noticed there are quite a lot of cars being clamped by police now in Spain. A quick look up of number plate shows they have run out of MOT and tax so they are definitely using DVLA now.
  4. N&P closing, Metro bank or other?

Not in a lot of Spanish towns they don't.

  6. Peace and quiet at Santuario de Nuestra

There's a main road to get there via Albox. We went round the mountains part of the road was via a rambla. Apparently if you like churches, the inside of the one at Oria is spectacular - on a par with some of the best cathedrals. Unfortunately it was closed when we were near it.
  7. Peace and quiet at Santuario de Nuestra

Friends took us to Santuario de Nuestra Señora del Saliente, Carretera A- 7100 - El Saliente Alto, s/n, 04800 Albox, Almería, Spain yesterday. Apparently it's part of the Pilgrim route. Spectacular views and so quiet. There is a restaurant as well which unfortunately was closed. They do get...
  8. Back in Sunny Spain.

Came across our first wild camper members yesterday. We haven't got a sticker now and neither have they. He'd been told about it by someone else and joined - he has the app but didn't realise there was such a thriving website - he does now 😐😀 and hopefully he will join in. He didn't realise...

  14. Back in Sunny Spain.

How far north are you now. We had a night at Almerimar after tootling along N340a. For anyone travelling along this coast - use the N340a. Really scenic and quiet - apart from the bits you can't see over the plastic. Taken a detour to spend a night or two at Cabo de Gata.
  15. Toll road cost - Calais to Granada

We came down a few weeks ago - was going to use Somport tunnel, but missed it somehow and came over really scenic route past a couple of ski resorts where there were still skiers on the piste. Didn't pay a penny on Tolls.
  16. what does this mean please

Tom it would be worth trying doctors on wheels | doctors on wheels. Quick and easy- they just tell you to take glasses and any Meds with you - even have all the forms with them. Don't need separate eye test - they do it there. Around £50/£60. Thought John would have to go through rigamarole...
  17. A Warm Spanish Welcome

Guessing you're north of Barcelona near Santa Susana. Do they still have the white plastic chairs which they seem to turn over when they are umm .. indisposed or busy working away Or maybe near Cullera.
  18. If you could buy anything for your motorhome, what would it be?

I'd like a permanent internet connection that wouldn't cost a fortune for data.
  19. Get your willie out and I will see you later

We are still parked at Torrox. Biked past the sign for Playa Nudista yesterday.
