1 - GVW
2 - GTW
3- Front axle
4- Rear axle

Strange it has twin rear wheels with GVW 3500 Kg
What model number is it?

You have a 3.5 tonne vehicle

There are lots of sets of initials [MRO (mass in running order); MTPLM(Maximum Technical Permissible Laden Mass); GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight); GTW (Gross Train Weight) used but in basic terms:-

3500 - max vehicle weight including everything (and everybody) inside or fixed to the vehicle

5500 - max vehicle & trailer (including load) weight
(i.e. if your loaded van is 3400 kg; your trailer 1000 kg and your car 1900 kg... you are overweight) i

1650 - max weight on front axle

2250 - max weight on back axle (if the load on the front is 1000k & the load on the back is 2400kg you are overweight even though the total van is 3400kg)

Out of interest ...when you say "2 wheels on rear" - do you mean
a) one rear axle with a wheel each side
b) one rear axle with 2 wheels each side
c) two rear axles each with a wheel each side

Quite a few years ago, we looked at a twin rear wheel Euromobile and the gross was only 3500kg.
Those extra wheels certainly eat into the payload!

Back to the question.
1 is front axle
2 is rear axle
3500 is GVW (max weight)
5500 is max train weight ( gross weight of vehicle and any trailer)

edit
to clarify, the twin wheel Euromobile was not a tag, but twin rear wheels side by side

WDB906's as standard have single rear wheels at 3500 Kg, twins above that, although VIN decoder does state a Major assembly variant, no idea what the number for it means though.

twin wheels so four wheels on rear axle.

There are lots of sets of initials (MRO; MTPLM) that the numbers technically relate to but, in basic terms, I think the answer is

3500 - max vehicle weight
5500 - max vehicle & trailer weight
1650 - max weight on front axle
2250 - max weight on back axle

So you have a 3.5 tonne vehicle

so this model is moted not plated

The Blue van 2009 one has twin wheels are theses plates in the same place on all the mercs vans?
Where would the vosa plate be for 6 wheeled van?
TIA

Got one.

3.5 ton Rimor owned by me at the moment has twin wheels on a single axle. My C license runs out next month and I can't be bothered with all the medical and optical tests and form filling being over 70 again. So 3.5 it has to be. I'm sure its running overweight all the time. I dare not take it to have it weighed.

Can't find the blue one, have you a link.
As far as I know VIN is in the same place on Sprinters.

Take those crates of Guinness out Tom. That should save about a tonne.

Tom it would be worth trying doctors on wheels | doctors on wheels. Quick and easy- they just tell you to take glasses and any Meds with you - even have all the forms with them. Don't need separate eye test - they do it there. Around £50/£60. Thought John would have to go through rigamarole last year. We rang up and got an appointment near Rotherham next day - they turn up in a Merc sprinter. 20 mins later forms sorted and away home.

Blimey that sounds good Jenny and really cheap. I can't remember how much my last one was but it was at my own doctors and I am sure it was over a £100.00. I had to get special eye tests at the opticians, Have a medical, fill in my section of forms, Optician had to fill in forms, the doctor had a load to fill in and send off. It took about 4 months for the new license to arrive. I will keep that in mind if I get a heavier van in future.
