We provide the files that work with TOMTOM devices but, we cannot support installing the files.

First if you have not already done it you need to download the latest POI files to your computer by downloading the ZIP files and unzipping them on your computer.

You can find details on the POI Downloads page:

INSTALLING POI FILES USING MYDRIVE (newer devices)

INSTALLING POI FILES USING OTHER METHODS (older devices)

Since we first started providing the POI files for TOMTOM devices there have been many new models and changes from TOMTOM. Different models now require different software and different methods to install POI files. TOMTOM now has its own guide that covers all its models and I have been able to successfully install the POI files and every TOMTOM model that I have tried using these instructions.

Here is the link.

How can I install or remove third-party POIs?

You can also try this link that works with older devices:

No Mac Directions

I have a Macbook Pro and can't find directions on how to add POI to my TOM TOM START 25 anywhere. I can only find directions for windows. Does anyone have Mac directions? I've installed TomTom MyDrive Connect, but can't find "My Places" which is what the windows version asks you to click into.

How to find it once downloaded

Hi, someone's downloaded the pois on my tom tom but how do I locate them?

TomTom Start 25 - Cannot locate device area for download

Well, This is really difficult and time consuming...

I have the My Drive icon on my desktop, but it does not open 'Manage..' when I right-click it.
So I've searched in My Progs and not found anything else to do with Tom Tom or My Drive...
All I can get on the website when it opens is how to download updates which I did recently...
I've also tried the other way on the other link... no joy.
Do I have to give up?

Unfortunately, TOMTOM has made this difficult by having different methods for different models. The best way to get instructions is to do a Google search for "how to install third party poi files on a TOMTOM [add your model number]". Replace [add your model number] with you actual model number.

Are you sure yo are using 'MYDRIVE' and not 'MYDRIVE CONNECT', MYDRIVE opens in your browser,
The smartest route planner - TomTom MyDrive
Click on the link and then on the left hand side you will see 'my places', click on that
mydrive.jpg
either create an account or if you already have one then log in, you will then see this
mydrive 2.jpg
click on POI files, then import POI file, then select file,
mydrive 3.jpg
then select the folder where your POI's are on your PC and select the file you want, you have to do each one separately, once they are on MYDRIVE you can connect your tomtom but the POI's will not transfer to it until you log in on the tomtom itself

I live in a van and don’t have a computer. Is there another way?

My laptop is being repaired (or scrapped) and I was hoping to update the poi's on the tomtom app on my android phone before I leave home tomorrow. Is there anyway of doing this without the aid of a pc please. It's not the end of the world as I'll only be one month out of date.

I have a new Tomtom integrated system in my van, can anyone give me advice on how to install the poisonings.

Many thanks.

I suggest you consult the user manual initially. If that doesn't help a Google search should help establish if it's possible and if so how it's done.
