We are off to Goa on the 5th of Jan and return on the 3rd of April. It is our yearly ritual since we retired. We hit the south side which is a lot more peaceful that the North. If ever you are down our way in a place called Benaulim, which is next door to Colva beach, pop in at the Haawai beach hut. The North side are for the party goers and the Russians have the upper hand there, that is Calangute, Anjuna. It is still nice but I prefer the peace and quiet. Have fun and enjoy yourself.

Hi,Sounds good to me. do you know any good rural sites that we can spread out on, put the awnings up, leave camper parked up safe an sound, we intend to use the bike more or less most of the time, thanks loads for offer of help, much appreciated :scooter: Tony and Teresa

First beach I hit in Goa was indeed Colva, are the two palm trees as you go on to beach by little bridge still there?..bet not that was around 1989
Are the beach huts, all still there? and is Garlic Shark still on the menu.? :cool1: .

Going to be a while before I do it again, as said before in earlier post, spent ten years doing the motorcycle, touring,beach bit, love and Hate moments, But Thats India, And i would not have missed it for the all the tea in China, have a great Christmas, and if we do get that way, well look you up

We plan to be in Dover on the 22nd to catch the Ferry for a two month trip, we haven't booked yet and will not travel too far South for the first few weeks because I am waiting for some results but a short break and having to come back is better than sitting here, anyway I am tight and I don't want to waste the ACSI card and France Passion I haven't used yet

if not, have a good christmas we will be travling slowish but longish, via abberville,rouen, Le Mans, bordeux, route etc, no tolls im tight as well :lol-053::lol-053::lol-053: But also no hurry, Transit does better on fuel, at 45/50 than 55/65.. letting the scenery slide buy :wave: Tony and Teresa :wave:

You need to cancel that ticket and rebook foe 6 weeks, bet when you get there you wished you had, all the best and have a good holiday Tony:wave:

Filled the old girl with lpg today, going to put some in the camper to tomoss :lol-049::lol-049:

Gaslow system is a must got to recomend it to any one, cost me just short of £20 to fill it, way way cheaper than seperate bottles,
Solar panels working well even in this crap weather, Bike loaded, on trailer, ready for the off.

still chucking stuff in and out of the camper, but it will sort it self out on the way, between bins, skips and donations to others.:rolleyes2:

Lots of french style aires on www.cas.comaxa.com Google "camper contact" and "campingcarportugal "

Campsites mainly on the coast . Relaxing one at Cabanas, east of Tavira. They get busier and more expensive west of Faro. Massive one at Albufira... If you like Benidorm lifestyle !

You will meet expert wildcampers for advice when you get here.

your right, not much change since then, apart from the vodafone roofs,,palm and bamboo or grass back then.

double the rupes and a bit though. used to get a beach dwelling for 50 rupes a day. £1.25 . enjoy it, :fun:
