Bank holiday weekend away where you going ????

Not the normal just head off and see what happens trip. Going down for the 35th anniversary of the Merc G Wagen, funny enough, it's quite nice to know exactly where I'm going for a change. Crikey!, I've even sent an e mail to a campsite, how organised is that. lol :)

Had my weekend away last weekend.
This weekend i will be mostly fitting a solar panel installation to my brothers m/h. A bit of travelling from Sheffield to Sittingbourne (Kent) to remind myself what the queens english sounds like :) in the garden of England.

Cat Sitting in Hutton, Preston ............... LOL

Daughter, Son-in-Law and Grandson are off to try out a new Static that his parents have bought in North Wales.

Heading off shortly to Charmouth, Bridport and Lyme Regis for three days, then up to the other end of Dorset to sit out the Bank holiday next to the Dorset Heathlands by Corfe Castle, returning some time in the first week of June.
Hi...we stayed at the heathlands near corfe last weekend for 3 days....there are 2 wild camping spots there...right in front of the gates....1 on the way in....one right after coming out.... the gates state that there is no overnighting. ..but as we were outside we had no problems. They are marked on the poi's. Lovely place

Fitted my solar Saturday just gone ready for the weekend

Get home tomorrow after a week around Kent. You won't find me fighting the crowds over a bank holiday weekend. Back out the week after for the Lincoln Antiques fair. Anybody showing there let me know so that I can scrounge a cup of tea.

bridport

We're heading for a temporary holiday site on Friday near Corfe and Lulworth at a cost of £9 per night, then over to Weymouth for the folk festival at £7.50 per night, you can join there and the week will work out to about £100 including membership, as opposed to £210 on a camp site.

If you are looking to overnight in Bridport area use the Bus Station carpark. Free 6pm-8am and seriously cheap outside of those hours.

We are going here, Highland Gathering 2014

This is what, magbrin, Owner of site says,
We will be holding our annual “Highland Gathering” from Thursday 22nd May – Monday 26th May on our field 12 miles from Inverness & 10 miles from Loch Ness at IV2 6XD. There are local buses to Inverness and Whitebridge (bring your bus pass!) and we are close to RSPB reserve at Loch Ruthven. Culloden Battlefield and Cairngorms National Park are an easy drive away. Optional activities will probably include Barbeques, bonfire, a trip to the Dores Inn, and possibly a themed evening (sensible suggestions welcome). The event is free but we do ask for generous donations to the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team who go out in all weathers to help those in trouble in our mountains. More detail will follow nearer the time, but in the mean time let me know if you are interested. If you can’t make this one there will also be a minimeet later in the summer.

Bearded Theory Festival, Catton Hall in Derbyshire - UB40, The Stranglers, The Blockheads, OysterBand and lots of other good music. Hopefully, the motorhome won't get stuck in the mud this year!

Me too, you missed off Carter, The Wonder Stuff, Dreadzone, Ferocious Dog,The Men They Couldnt Hang and many more. Reports from on site indicate that its very flat but there was a bit of a downpour this afternoon.
