Get home tomorrow after a week around Kent. You won't find me fighting the crowds over a bank holiday weekend. Back out the week after for the Lincoln Antiques fair. Anybody showing there let me know so that I can scrounge a cup of tea.

Tea will be available at Newark :lol-053: friends even get bacon butties:bow:

Always good to meet someone you know at a show. It's It's a long time since we worked Swinderby as was. Let me know where you are standing.

Being full timers we are always out but need to book up in advance on a bank holiday as everywhere is full.
We are at Eastbourne for the bank holiday.
Nice cycle into Eastbourne through the harbour then on the cycle path from bay view touring Park, no view of the bay though.
Hate paying £25 a night for a site but hey ho can't take it with you, we recently had a lot of free nights in France.

We are taking the Grandkid's to Mablethorpe on the temporary holiday site at the school great spot cheap and something to keep the kids occupied.

Just got back late last night after 8 days away, van now ready for off, and washing all done, setting off tomorrow pm for Green Dragons London airshow. Will tootle down to arrive sometime Friday pm. Shame to waste this weather. Happy holidays everyone.

I was going to this but due to my labyrinth ****is too ill to go so my BH will be a bit miserable, have extra fun for me Gina and Ron.

Was trying to work out what BH was, thought you meant Bill (bloody husband) :raofl:, then realised you meant Bank Holiday. I'm a bit slow today. Hope you are feeling better soon, before all the good weather disappears again.

We are going here, Highland Gathering 2014

This is what, magbrin, Owner of site says,
We will be holding our annual “Highland Gathering” from Thursday 22nd May – Monday 26th May on our field 12 miles from Inverness & 10 miles from Loch Ness at IV2 6XD. There are local buses to Inverness and Whitebridge (bring your bus pass!).

They won't let you use a Sassenach bus pass in Scotland, so we haven't been for a while my OH is of Scottish descent, so refuses to pay for something he can get free at home!

We are heading off on Friday for four nights at a Motor Caravan Section (C&CC) meet at Gargrave nr Skipton, meeting up with lots of friends. This time last year when we went there, the weather was glorious, fingers crossed for some good weather this time.

I am hoping to go across to France on Saturday for a couple of weeks but I am stuck on an Oil Rig with no hope of getting off for the next few days due to fog and no flying.
The joys of working offshore he...:(
I just hope Eurotunnel are lenient with me when I speak with them tomorrow and change my booking .

I generally don't do bank holidays as too busy, but I'm working this Saturday anyway. If any of you are are visiting Glastonbury, come and say hello! I'll be selling my wares at Glastonbury Farmers' market till 2pm - the Greek food stall

Dont bother with bank holiday weekends, to busy.
Will venture out when everyone is back to work. One of the many benefits of retiring early.
Il will be home this weekend ,Friday helping my son and daughter in law and family move house and sat/sun bricklaying an on extension at home. Whats all this tosh about retiring and taking it easy?

Away we go

Procrastination be damned. Off in the morning to Lochy campiste on the banks of the River Lochy for 3 nights. Forecast is not great but we've got the wellies, the waterproofs, gloves, shorts (well, zip-offs!) suncream lotion and midgie repellent all packed for yet another fun weekend.

Me too, you missed off Carter, The Wonder Stuff, Dreadzone, Ferocious Dog,The Men They Couldnt Hang and many more. Reports from on site indicate that its very flat but there was a bit of a downpour this afternoon.

Good wasn't it? And despite the mud, our trusty van didn't need to be towed off, so we definitely approve of the new site. Maybe see you there next year......
