Battery now Caput?

It is not a bad one. The capacity of a starter battery is less important than of a leisure battery. It is only meant to kick the engine into life.

If you are looking at Bosch, be aware thst the similar Varya battery is not really similsr: it is identical apart from the label - same spec, same production line. Buy whichever is cheaper.

I bought one of those in March. It was either a Varta or a Bosch silver. I looked at Amazon but got it far cheaper elsewhere.
Didn't pay anything like that much. I recall it was £103 or £107 but I may be wrong about that.
Of course prices do change. Amazon are rarely the best value for batteries.
Don’t forget the price is Euros so around £124.

Forgot to add that the battery needs to be charged for at least 24 hours to be fully charged. Ideally 48 hours.
Thanks very much for all the info.
However as I now don’t trust the battery and am heading for Greece in a few weeks I have decided to order the Bosch especially because I will have it on Wednesday.
Best wishes

Oh no not another spanner!!
Is there a reason why it shouldn’t be ok?
Regards

No, there are only three terminal types. The standard sort (as in your photo), a slightly smaller sort (usually on smaller batteries], and little rectangular posts, as used by Ford, for cheapness.
What you need to check for is the dimensions of the battery and the layout of the terminals.
If you buy one with the positive and negative posts the other way round, it won't fit.
By the way, the positive and negative terminals are slightly different sizes, to make it harder to fit the wrong way round.

Thanks for that. Order cancelled need negative on the right side!! Bosch on left!!

Idle. 13.33
Ignition on 10
Cranking 4.5
Thanks very much for that.
Beautiful set of answers. That battery is flat. If you've just had it on charge for some time then either the charger or the battery is completely knackered. I strongly suspect the latter because of the initial 13.33 volts reading.

Be very careful taking off and putting back on the positive terminal Fiat etc in the wisdom made the nuts captive in plastic, so if the last fitter was a butcher, you may have problems, getting the clamp off and securing it again, I might be inclined to get the battery and ask your local garage to fit it, (I did £10 & worth it) they are also a very heavy/awkward thing to reacch out with at arms length, and any issues you're in the right place to get it sorted.

Buy in haste, repent at leisure.
If you are not setting off for a few weeks, you have plenty of time to shop around to make sure you don't set off with an inappropriate battery.

Unfortunately the van is stuck and needed moving, therefore I have had to buy a battery which I bought locally in the end and it has a 3 year guarantee, so am content.
Thanks for your advice.
