Reminds me of a stay on the Cirenceter Park Caravan Club site ( as it was then ) several years back.

Your photo is very tame compared to what some of the members on there had done to their motorhomes and caravans o_O

OMG ......... it was like Big Fat Gypsy Tarted Up Caravan Gone Extreme program would look like

I'm not kidding it was like Blackpool Illuminations gone crazy and was almost daylight during the night.

We was one of a handful on there that had nothing and felt like lepers

The Camping and Caravan Club do an annual "Festival of Lights" event. I don't know if there are multiple ones, one in each area, or if it moves around the different regions, but that is certainly very colourful and looks good fun.

I was at the Kelso one back in I think 2017 or 2018 (it was just after I finished my last camper conversion) and had a trade stand there.
Didn't have any lights up myself but wandered around the site and looked at the various vans which were not only lit up themselves but many had a complete 'porch' area decorated to an insane level :D

The excuse was that I had a problem with my ankle and was having to use a crutch too get about but being at a festival I thought I should make an effort 👌
I had a long sit down, foot up and pain killers in the shape of a few glasses of red. 🍷
I will try harder next time, promise. 😆

That reminds me of the system my son uses on train journeys - a can of beer in front of you, especially if its extra strong tramp lager, makes it much less likely that you'll get an unwelcome visitor next to you. I certainly wouldn't park near you if I could help it! 😁
Reminds me of when I used to commute into London. The trains were always busy of course with standing room if you didn't arrive early enough. One day I got on and as usual loads of people standing but there was a couple of seats spare next to a rather dishevelled person. I found out why as I went to sit down and the stench was unholy  . Not only did no one sit next to him but the next stop people left the carriage for another one.
