Watch out for dodgy bridge signs

I really don't know what to make of this information and if I could go under or not and you would probably be the same?

My motorhome is 3.05 Metres high.... Can I or can't I??

Maybe 3.4 in the middle and 2.8 at the sides of the arch and you have to judge for yourself whether you would make it or not?

Probably best to have a banksman with you!

Same i lasted about 20 seconds there I’m not knocking the information that is buried in the video presented by some guy who has learned his presentation skills from old BBC That’s Life Betamax videos but at my time of life my patience is shortening at the same rate as my lifespan is so if they don’t get to point faster than a greyhound out the trap then I’m off
I get very bored with those Youtube videos that spend 20 minutes telling you something that should take 1 or 2 at the most..

I was trying to do something with my Huawei Watch & the 'Health' App a couple of days ago and resorted to an internet search ... found a Youtube video that told me exactly what I needed to do and the entire video was 41 seconds long. Now THAT is how to do it (y)

Yes, longer videos can generate more money, but only because they allow creators to place more mid-roll advertisements. Simply creating a longer video does not guarantee higher earnings; the video must retain viewer attention to successfully show those ads.

The 8-Minute Rule
Videos that run for

minutes or longer unlock the ability to insert mid-roll ads manually or automatically. While videos under this threshold only feature pre-roll (before the video) or post-roll (after the video) ads,

minute videos can feature multiple ads throughout.

Watch Time vs. Length
YouTube’s monetisation is fundamentally driven by viewer watch time. If a viewer only watches 2 minutes of a 20-minute video, it is less profitable than a viewer watching 4 minutes of a 5-minute video. High retention is the key to maximising ad revenue.

YouTube Shorts
If you are asking about YouTube Shorts, length does not significantly impact earnings. Shorts up to 3 minutes long share an ad revenue pool, and creators generally earn less per 1,000 views on Shorts compared to long-form content

The thing about that particular channel is that it isn't about transport -- it's about mathematics and mathematical quandaries in particular. The video is more about how different standards applied to metric and imperial dimensions give rise to an apparent anomaly than the actual bridge heights. To explain how this particular anomaly occurs takes a bit longer than a couple of minutes where that explanation includes examples.

I hate the Ads on Youtube Kev, I often skip through the videos and so have to watch adverts for the same product over and over again without a break between them.

For that reason, I will never ever use the services provided by Confused.com, I hate them with a passion!

I hate the in-video ads, we have "supposedly" already paid to watch a video.

I only watch via Brave to avoid YT fee.

As for being a member of a channel or doing Patreon, yeah right, feck off, some are more expensive than Netflix, get real.

If the sign is not more than 300mm above our known height we don't go there, or if we must, one of us gets out to watch as the other goes under VERY slowly.

We have an extra 200mm bump in the middle of the roof because the first owner specified a Dometic AC unit that only works on mains. We rarely plug into mains never seen the need, so it is a big white elephant for us.

Combe Laval road (D76) located in the Vercors Massif, France (Balcony roads) did those and a few others last summer. Amazing. Please don't tell me you tried to go up that in anything bigger than a Nissan Micra. :ROFLMAO:

Did them on the scooter. :D

And some more near Alpe d'Huez

Did it a number of years ago in Moho

What would that be in imperial? 🧐
