Availability of diesel in Europe in the coming months

Just been to the Doctors and due to a mix up (theirs) I was 45 minutes early for my appointment, Julie suggested that rather than sit around waiting we could go and fill the car up with Diesel. Without checking I pulled up on the forecourt and filled up - £15.09!

I was really embarrassed as I went to pay and to make matters worse the owner of the station was there who I know well and shouted "Bit of panic buying there Rob?".

I got some filthy looks from people queuing and obviously gave Julie a damn good telling off for not telling me to look at the fuel gauge before refuelling. :(

She even had the audacity to try and blame me!

Seldome do i put over £20 of fuel in any veh i own, to much weight in the tank reduces your mpg.

Just filled up in the Algarve near Silves. If I didn’t listen to the radio or the prices weren’t higher than normal (2.16 2o 2.25€) I wouldn’t think there was an issue at all. No queues, all pumps operating etc. Popular aires still pretty full so little evidence of people going home because of possible problems at some point in the future.

Both my cars are EV’s so no fuel required but I need petrol for my ride on mower and diesel for my little tractor. I usually take jerrycans down to the local garage to fill for the machinery but I’m scared to go down and fill jerrycans because of the dirty looks / comments I may get. Perhaps I’ll print out a big placard explaining that I’m not panic buying!

HAHA! All those anti EV lot who laughed at the silly electric cars. They ain't laughing now are they?

I dunno why I'm laughing mind. Two petrol bikes, petrol car and a humongous diesel devouring motorhome. :D

We have just traveled from Calais to just east of la Rochele and no issues getting diesel, but prices Do varies don't fill up on the motorway and use the supermarkets or total energy and expect to pay between 1.20 and 1.80 euros per litre, I normally wait until I am down to half a tank, then I have got plenty of time to get somewhere at the right price to fill up😎
What currency is that? €1.20/litre would have been a long time ago! And I haven't seen any diesel prices beginning with a 1 since arrival in France.

And the source of this information is?
Gov web site, a chap who i do biz with goes over this amount, but as he says the gov cannot regulate it and dont bother.
As far as i know the is a industrial plant here who does the process but has to pay a tax and vat on it when selling,
