Post budget it's been well covered that from next September the temporary 5p cut in fuel duty, granted after Covid will begin to be unwound in three stages over 6 months
But buried in the budget small print (which I've seen no comment about anywhere) is the government's intention from April 2027 to once more begin to increase fuel duty annually in line with inflation for the first time in well over a decade.
Fuel might never cost less than it does now.
