If you're allowed to park up overnight , with or without facilities, it is an aire . It may , or may not , also be a carpark. This is for Alcam, who can’t tell the difference between an Aire and a public car park
Lochore AIRE has improved enormously since our last visit. There are 18 hard standing pitches 8 with EHU. The chemical waste is now within the AIRE, and in front of the chemical waste theres a drive over grey waste. There’s a fresh water tap here as well. They will be installing toilets, and showers are being considered. There’s a barrier now controlled with a fib for entry and exit. It’s £14 a night without EHU and £20 with. You have to pay a returnable deposit of £20 for the barrier fob.
They have worked wonders here, a vast improvement to what went before.

The above description covers many countries.
Elie ? Well you're not actually allowed to overnight in the carpark just in the motorhome area .
