A near miss?

Sevel vans are not 1.6m but 2.6m high. At least my Fiat one is 2.6m and it looks a very similar height to the van on the op’s avatar. 1.6m (5ft 3ins) is the height of a short person like me.

Presuming that is the height of a Sevel Van ex-works I presume he has to allow for the extra height of the Solar Panels etc. on top as well?

Edit: Ex-works is probably the wrong term - I meant as it left the factory!

Got me! I don't blame you for being generous in your real settings though.

I only ever set dimensions in my GPS a couple of times and it still got me in trouble.
If there is no viable route to the destination, the Garmin will still guide you down roads/lanes that cause squeaky bum syndrome, Rob! What I*do* find frustrating is Garmin's insistence on following the farmyard route instead of the 3 lane motorway because the former is 11ft 4ins shorter, but 2 hours longer journey ... 🤮

Change your routeing preferences!

Change your routeing preferences!

I used to do that on my TomTom - 'Shortest' or 'Quickest' were the options. Often though if I set it to 'Shortest' it would set a route which I knew damned well wasn't the shortest so I ignored it.

They have come on a bit since then though.

Are BF right?

Figure the quote for mine doesn't match with any of the 3 roof options for a panel van.
Which takes me back to my original question (which might have been more useful without my cockup with the height dimensions) What's the actual height of yer standard PV (Ducato/Boxer/Relay) used for run of the mill conversions?
