My partner and I are planning a trip to the Jura in mid July any advice on places worth a visit would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Paul

Been there several times. Its not very big so easy to explore. There are several small lakes, lots of great walking and kayaking, wonderful scenery and of course some of the best unpasteurised cheese in the world (not just France) Comes from there. Morbier and Comte. Villages and towns are not that notable so its just a case of enjoying all of the above. We will be there late June / early July for a week or so.

Dole is a nice town with good river walks and worth a visit , a few different camping options
Don't mention Dole; 1/2 the Forum will go off on one about how people should work for a living ... 🤭 'Typical bloody French ... etc, etc'

Such commenters should, of course, be directed towards another attractive French town, namely Condom (or, at least their father's should have been ...) 😄

Orleans area has aires at Meung-sur-Loire [free but 3€ for water in 2022/23] and La Ferte St Aubin, both handy for jumping back onto the A10 autoroute

Sorry not really. We generally come across Belgium and down through the Alsace.

Are you thinking of overnight stops near the places that you mention or simply along that route? If the latter, some idea as to distances between stops would be useful.
If the former, the aire at Le Mans https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=2742 is frequently full. You might consider https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=32737 a short distance west of Le Mans. In the vicinity of Orléans, you have the aire at Meung-sur-Loire https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=15071 or the one at Saran https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=31244, but this one can frequently be full. If looking to visit the city, you could consider https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=28053 which is an unprepossessing free car park but very convenient for trams to the centre of Orléans.
I would second the recommendation of Dole in the Jura and there is a large parking area at https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=567

Numerous other possibilities depending on how long you intend to take on the journey to the Jura and whether you wish to explore anywhere that you visit on the way.

The whisky’s good😏
My first thought as I look longingly at the 18 year old single that my wife was given for services rendered. Evidently the reason I got a black eye was I didn't know it was for 30 years at the same company! (Along with a £700 bonus!)
