We are sitting here minding our own business and the 12v electrics went off :( It's only the Hymer side (Eletrablock feed), my own 12v stuff still works. I'm assuming it's a fuse?
Anyhow there is a 40 amp inline fuse on a brown wire connected to the leisure batteries which is okay, I know that Hymer are famous for putting fuses all over the place so can anyone give me some clues as to where they could be? It's a Hymer T574 Classic coachbuilt. It's too dark now so I'll be looking in the morning but any help would be appreciated. Does anyone maybe have a wiring diagram for the Elektroblocks? I have the manual that shows what the fuses are for along the front of it but that's all, I'd just like to understand it a bit more. :unsure:

Derek tezza33 has a good bit o knowledge on them but he gave me udo lang I think his name was at hymer
speaks good English if you get stuck
I will try and get the number out my book for you if stuck
I will go through my stuff the now and see if I can come up with something

There are two fuses near the leisure battery, on mine it is a 30 amp and a 2 amp

If you read my last thread on this subject you will be aware that my fridge has failed on 12v. Refresher from episode 1 - fridge switching off when engine started Van taken to local Motorhome workshop for repair Returned with absolutely no habitation electrics...

I have this diagram but those fuses (on mine at least) only control the outputs and I need to find the fuse or fuses for the feed to it, the control panel isn't working above the door, it soes show the engine battery voltage but nothing else :( I do have Tezza'as number., I'll call him tomorrow (y)

I had a similar problem with mine and it was a relay in the electroblok, there are two identical large relays in there, one of these controls the 12v side, they are not available to buy but I managed to talk Udo into sending me two, if that is your problem I still have a spare somewhere because I only changed the one, first though check the fuses close to the habitation batteries the 2 amp fuse controls the 12v switch, even if it looks OK a little bit of corrosion will stop it working, the other fuse should be 50 amp (although mine is only 30 amp)

When I contacted Udo Lang to try to purchase the relays Del he replied

I would think it would be possible to buy the relays from a 3rd party. I doubt if Schault actually make special relays. (I think these two are latching relays however?, so a little bit different to a bog-standard relay).

My elektroblok is a EBL99, the relay is a Gruner 17061 704M

You can buy direct from Gruner but you would have to check the numbers on your relay if it is a different model elektroblok, it is easy to remove the EBL and take the cover off, the connections on mine are all multiplugs so easy to unplug and reattach because they are all different shapes and sizes,
I managed to convince Schaudt that I had electrical specialists working for me who were qualified to fit them, it was easier and cheaper than buying from Gruner, I couldn't find any other suppliers at the time
 
Well I'm still no further with it, I can find the 50amp fuse near the vehicle battery and the same at the leisure battery but I'm damned if I can see a small fuse either end!
The main thing for me is to get the step up before I go to my hospital appointment on Thursday, I've just wired the Truma directly to my own fuse box so that's working which is very important to me, the fridge on the otherhand is a bit of a joke due to the AES it doesn't work on gas without a 12 volt supply so my three way fridge is really a two way fridge so somebody needs to explain what three way fridge is to Dometic or Hymer :unsure: Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the electric step, it seems such a simple thing to me but all logic goes out of the window with Hymer (well German elctronics full stop) There's a switch with three wires on using a meter one is common, one becomes active when you press the switch down and the other one becomes active when you press it up :) so why doesn't work when I put a live to the common? Makes no sense to me 😥. If I wasn't living in it I'd rip the lot out and rewire it sensibly :(

On mine Del the 50amp and 2amp fuses at either end are piggy backed to each other so if you find the big one you have found the small one.
 
Re electric step. If Hymer do the same as Geist did you will have an additional black box containing a PCB and a couple of relays, (think mine is a Toptron 155). I know this because mine has failed and I don’t want to pay the minimum charge to get it sorted.
You can get the wiring diagrams from Thule web site if it’s theirs with various ways of wiring them in.
