Motorhomer subjected to “violent and unprovoked” attack.

C 814); Parker v R 1971

"If there has been an attack so that self defence is reasonably necessary, it will be recognised that a person defending himself cannot weigh to a nicety the exact measure of his defensive action. If the jury thought that that in a moment of unexpected anguish a person attacked had only done what he honestly and instinctively thought necessary, that would be the most potent evidence that only reasonable defensive action had been taken ..."
and say nothing at all to the cops

You definitely are allowed to defend yourself, and additionally, you are allowed to get your retaliation in first

this I was told a few months ago when I was attacked in my driveway by a drunken bum, thankfully I was able to put him in hospital for treatment

No doubt that will be the end of wild camping for the poor people involved?
I suspect your right, it’s awful that some idiot(s) can have such an impact on someone else’s life and not care about the damage they’ve done to another human being.

Reading back though the thread my first reaction was come near my home/Motorhome/anything and your in for a problem you didn’t plan on, but when I’m 80 I guess I’ll be less likely to kick arse.
