Bailey motorhomes advice and 760 SE approach

Nice Iveco here, front & rear lounge, even a raised patio to help with scooter maintenance.

Looks alright that. Twin wheels at the back so presumably a good payload and carrying capacity. Not keen on a compressor fridge and diesel heating though and the rear lounge seats look like I would fall of them but certainly looks less cramped than a lot of PVCs I have seen.

Dont dismiss the Bailey just yet, it could be fine. Mine is a great van and have had no issues in 10 years other than the damp!! That thankfully can be easily fixed.

Thanks. That doesnt sound too good. Will pay attention to that and check the paper work and habitation check history. It will get a habitation check and a six month warranty I am told.
Beware of the dealers ‘habitation check’. When I bought my van it came with a full habitation check ad part of the sale. But when I went to collect it, there was no paperwork and the sales manager said “we do the check but there’s no paperwork, you just have to trust us”.

I seriously wouldn’t trust any dealer as far as I could spit. If you work on the principle that many dealers will say anything to get the sale, you won’t go far wrong.

Thanks. I contacted the dealer again at lunchtime and he apologised for not answering my email regarding the hab history and my concerns about the damp issues on some of them around the outer skirt and inner floor. He says he is going to look at the history and email it to me. He also said that they are aware of this issue with this van and before the vans go out they are checked and any issues rectified and there is a six month warranty.

The question of course is, can this van be fettled in such a way that this problem does not occur down the line or would is it going to creep up and bite me on the arse at some point?
