When you changed your batteries, did you disconnect your solar panel controller before you took your old ones out? then reconnect when you put the new ones in, starting with + tv first then - iv, then your 2 wires from your solar panel,If not you need to disconnect it now and reconnect as above

Worth reading the article on the aandncaravanservices website on AGM batteries and their suitability as leisure batteries. http://www.WEBSITE BLOCKED BY ADMIN/agm-batteries.php I usually get 3 years out of a leisure battery so changed to EFB this time to see if they last longer.

Thanks . good advice Jeff ! also disconnecting puts solar charger into factory reset settings which needed to be changed …

Thanks for the link. I’m heading off to see if my charger actually can deliver the required amount that AGM need. There’s a setting for it but as your article points out , this doesn’t necessarily mean it delivers it !

You also need to check whether your alternator can deliver the correct charge to the batteries. I took the factory fitted AGM leisure batteries out and fitted lead acid. The AGM batteries never charged fully when travelling ( we rarely use EHU)
Now we have Lifepo4.

Thanks I bet the alternator won’t charge it full but luckily EHU will do the trick as we’re nearly always on it these days …

I have these. Full timer and these are excellent. I use an Abso Batt to Battery charger, the lead carbons like a 14.6 or 14.7 charge and the Abso gives me this.
