No idea rob, but the person said it cost an arm and a leg, main thing is that 600amps for cranking but those we inits don't have anything near that, so where is the extra coming from, surely not from the dead battery, if I get one to try I will and report on findings.

Lots of pressure but little cfm of which is what you want for boats, but sure it would do, I mainly use the city socket for testing bulbs etc.
Different characteristics. FWIW, I saw a YouTube where someone disconnected the battery on an American pickup and then started the truck using a similar jump-start pack to prove that it would start. However, while they can provide a large discharge current to power the vehicle starter, they have a relatively low capacity can't be recharged as quickly. They claim 48 minutes to charge from empty via USB fast charge (5v, 6A -- so only around 2 Ah at 12v) and it takes my 2.1A USB charger over an hour to fully recharge my GBX45 after just one start. Hence, while they'll start a car or motorhome that has a completely flat battery, they are not suitable to permanently replace that battery.
