Yorkshire Motorhomers.

Calling all Yorkshire Motorhomers my MOT is due on the 10th of April and as its aproximatly 7.5mtrs and weight 3.875 where do you go for your MOT I have a couple of options in my area but no recommendations the other option is do I take it to the main Fiat service centre as I know they do mot MHs.

I take mine to Huddersfield mot centre, but I have heard of people taking them to their local council, as they have nothing to gain by failing it.

I read that test stations are very busy at the moment due to a spike in sales 3 years ago .

Very pleasant family business who don't do mechanical, only MoTs and not that far from you in Bradford.

Have MoT'd mine for about 12 years.

Yes in high insight I should have stayed up there and booked it in lol at least they would have done a great job

I used to do that on that principle. Stopped after they failed the car incorrectly on brakes. (took car for another MOT a few days later at garage I use and it passed with NO work done inbetween. Garage owner was pretty scathing about quality and knowledge of testers at Council Stations)

Yes I’ve used dick lane for jobs done on other vans but not had an MOT done there and don’t know anyone that has I’m also trying to find a Trumatic service engineer in the West Yorkshire area as my heating packed up in Scotland so that’s just something else that needs sorting.

I always use California at gomersal, they’re impartial only test do not repair.

Stoneywood at Sowerby Bridge have motorhome facilities. They do a lot of work for Richard Baldwins and are very good.

There is one advertises on local radio not far from me but it would be about 20 miles or so South of Sheffield which is right at the bottom of Yorkshire so probably not near you

We use RM Motors 206 Commonside, Batley WF17 6EB Phone: 01924 456666 for our MOT, don't know if he does as big as yours, but I would have thought so as he has a large mh himself, well worth a call.
