i think i'm jinxed, yous all know about my trip to scotland and all the traumas me and my mum had heres another one, set of for a weekend in scotland last Friday to meet up with a pal, decided to stop at leaming bar services, its only an hour into my journey but the dogs were getting irritable, went to slow down as you do when leaving motorway, no breaks, OH MY GOD how scary, luckily the slip road off is slighlty up hill which helped me a little but then it goes down hill into the car park and then the lorry park, i managed to slow the MH down by pumping the breaks and applying th handbrake a little at a time, luckily there was no one crossing my path or nothing parked in the lorry park and i came to rest in the field at the bottom, then to add to my nightmare, the recovery man who green flag sent out must have had a domestic with his missus cos i got a right telling off from him for not telling him what size my vehicle was and it was my fault that he had brought the wrong lorry, mmmm somehow i dont quite get where its my fault but anyroad, he shouted and swore at me then drove off in a huff,, full speed out of the car park, pretty much the same as how i entered, anyway, i immediately got onto green flag pretty shook up by this irrate hormonal male, told them the tale, they put me on hold while they found out what was going on, the next minute he come steaming into the car park pulled up right along side me and started banging on my door, al tell ya i was petrified, didn t know what to do, he was shouting at me through the door, he ranted for a while then shot off again, i was finally recoverd buy a lovely young man who took me to his garage where i got the work done the next day and i was off again on my journey to Scotland, the servo thingy had come off a bracked and it had to be welded back on, dont quite know what that means but hey ho, after Scotland i worked in Northumberland all week, and it rained and my roof leaked yet again, so i spent most of the week in plastic bags again, am i still using my van? what do you think, love it but it hates me, any one got any ideas about my roof, its well and truly sodden inside now, dont know where to start,

nightmare, but the GF man, what the .... ? him having a bad day or not I hope you have made a complaint for what sounds like it was bordering on breach of the peace or what ever.

as for your roof, I would suggest you're going to have to take the bull by the horns as it were and start removing anything that makes a hole through the roof and re-seal, even as a temporary measure to stop it leaking in the meantime then you can take your time over resolving the other issues you have.

good luck!

I started reading this but the layout is so bad that after a few lines I just gave up. Whatever happened to paragraphs - they make reading so much easier.

Out of order

No need for comments like this - if you don't like the layout simply don't read innit

What's the 'van? I've just fixed my leaking roof by painting over the whole thing with Seal Fix (available from fleabay, AKA Dicht Fix). Worked very well for me, where the metal above the cab had rusted through at the gutters. Mind you, miine's a pop-top van conversion, might not work so well with a coachbuilt or an A class.

no one is forcing you to read it and as i have a writng disability i think you should think twice before you make rude comments

Some people are good at some things, not so good at other things, so why point out peoples weaknesses, if you are perfect you should be offering practical help to others, this site is for helping like minded people, hang loose and enjoy life a little

Unfortunately, these days, pointing out how people could improve their communication skills just results in being flamed.

So it's probably best not to.

Sealfix Seal Fix (DICHT-FIX) Waterproof Paste 375ml on eBay (end time 04-Aug-09 11:58:20 BST)

That's the link to the stuff i used. Needs a good stir, then just slap it on the affected areas. It dries to a mid grey, and can be painted over.

In regards to the other business that seems to be taking over this thread, here's my thoughts.
Kimbowbill posted here asking for help with a motorhome problem, as this is a motorhome forum. If help was required with English Grammar, i dare say there's a forum for that too somewhere.

We all have our weak points, and having a pop at someone about them is pretty low.
