Yes, yes, yes.

I feel for you @Dezi hate it when life is a struggle. Hope you manage to keep the essentials topped up, it is strange that we find they seem to empty themselves.
Keep your chin up your trials will be over too soon :ROFLMAO:

Currently sat at the lakeside in Aix les Baines sunny and about 90.

Unfortunately the free overnight parking spot has been bollarded, bollarded ?
off and we are useing the excellent campsite next to it.

Messages of encouragement much appreciated during these trying times and we
are putting on a brave British front.

Dezi

This could be the reason for the Bollards their agreement with the commune is all other parking spots to be closed

I think you are correct witzend.
Several of the free overnight spots that we have used in the past are now with barriers,
extra facilities and about 12 euros per night.

We are currently sitting in the ferry terminal at Calais because 9.45 ferry
is now the 11.45 ferry. No reasons given. The galley is also kaput so we
have been given a free picnic voucher for 2. Can life get any better?

There appears to be a growing trend for towns that have agreed to convert their municipal aires to a CampingCarPark aire, to also introduce a bye-law prohibiting motorhomes from parking in any of the municipal car parks
