Well, the withdrawal symptoms were chronic...all winter and most of spring and no van to go tramping round the countryside in. 
But have finally managed to find a VW Syncro camper - yippee! We need a 4wd to get up our track in winter and although it needs some interior tlc the mechanics and body are sound - touch wood! So watch out - should be getting to some meets this year after all! Yippee!
