I used to be given whisky as gifts i did drink it but not my chosen drink or taste and I don't miss the cold sweats in the morning after a big night. I mostly drank Guinness and found after 8 pints or so rum was a good mixer to see the night out and no hangover in the morning. Now it's mostly Bacardi I opt for if it's a short but do enjoy a gin but mostly in the summer. One other thing I don't like the spicy rum or the flavoured gins.

Singleton is nice but if I was to buy a special bottle it would be Scapa. Orkney whisky and very special

A few weeks back i said goodby to a secret drinker chap i knew from primery school, he spent 3 mths in a rehabilitation home to get him off it, soon as he got out back to same old tricks and lasted a mth.

I do like Irish Whiskey Trev. In the pandemic I did a lot of work for some old colleagues helping them set stuff up from home. I wouldn't take any money so they kept sending me cases of Jamesons. I like Paddy and Powers also. I generally just drink the cheap rough stuff from Tescos though. I drink it like pop so good stuff is a waste. That sounds worse than it is. I only ever have the one with some Rituel chasers.

Got a bottle of Jameson, the angels have had a share so it's down to shoulder level, it's less than half the price of the Whisky Exchange price.

We have Van pigs, only two due to a lack of space. Lounge pig last count was 7, although Liz insists one is a boar, 4 in the kitchen and 11 in the conservatory. I think there are loose ones which wander room to room.
