The Mrs and I spent the night at a place called Basset Cove, near Portreath in Cornwall. It was our first Wild Camping experience and very good it was too. I'm quite lucky living in Cornwall, there are literally hundreds of great Wild Camping spots, which I intend to document here.

Howdy Clarky, See you come from the same neck of the woods as myself. Porthtowan is next door to Portreath. I know Newquay has great surfing, so does Porthtowan. I spend a lot of time at the Blue Bar directly in front of the beach. My daily exercise is walking from Porthtowan to Chapelporth, over the sands when the tide is out or over the cliffs when the tide is in. Either way it is great.
